Our Neighborhood

Steeplechase Country Estates is a well established neighborhood located approximately 3mi west of Hwy75, south of SH121 on CR3356. All homes are located on lots with a minimum of one acre and most have mature trees.  Some homes are along ponds and also Whites Creek which runs adjacent to the neighborhood on the east side. We are fortunate enough to still be able to enjoy the peacefulness of the country while being within moments of the growing Historic Downtown Van Alstyne area.

There are also major hospitals, retail, dining and medical offices all within 30 minutes of our amazing neighborhood.

Adopt-A-Highway

We are so very proud to announce Steeplechase Country Estates has adopted the stretch of CR3356 from SH121 south to the Grayson/Collin county line thru the TXDOT Adopt-A-Highway program. Please be sure to be on the lookout for event dates and times.

NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS

To enhance efficiency and ensure accurate record-keeping, the HOA board has decided to partner with a professional management company for financial and administrative services only.  


The management  will focus solely on our financial processes, including billing, dues collection, and bookkeeping, as well as maintaining essential HOA records. This partnership aims to streamline our operations while ensuring everything remains organized and transparent.

Benefits of This Partnership:

1. Possible Cost Savings: By leveraging the management company's resources and expertise, we have the potential to save money through bulk purchasing of tools and insurance, ultimately benefiting the entire community. They also offer bookkeeping services which does lower our tax filing. 


2. Experience with Challenges: The management company brings valuable experience in handling difficult situations, such as conflicts among homeowners, abandoned properties, and lien management. Their expertise will help us navigate these challenges more effectively.


3. Additional Payment Methods: Homeowners will benefit from improved payment options, making it easier to manage accounts and stay current with dues.


4. Greater Visibility: The new online portal will provide residents with greater visibility into their accounts, allowing for easier tracking of payments and HOA communications.

Importantly, this change does not affect the control or leadership of the association. All decisions regarding our community will continue to be made by the residents and the HOA Board. The management company will serve solely in a supporting role, managing administrative tasks efficiently while the Board focuses on strategic decisions.


Rest assured, there will be no oversight of our properties by any external entity or large corporation. This partnership is strictly focused on back-office functions.

This step will also ensure that we remain fully compliant with all new HOA laws and requirements. The management company is bonded and meets essential legal requirements.

In the coming days, the management company will send you a letter with detailed instructions on how to enroll on their website. This online portal will provide convenient access to information and tools designed to better serve our community. It will also enable the HOA Board to make announcements and share updates directly with members, reducing reliance on social media. This will create a more organized and reliable communication platform for everyone.

We are also pleased to inform you that there will be no increase in HOA dues for this year. The Board remains committed to responsibly managing our budget while maintaining the quality and services of our community.

We understand the importance of maintaining community trust, and transparency, and we assure you that these priorities will remain unchanged. This partnership will allow us to ensure our records and finances are managed professionally while enhancing our ability to address complex situations effectively.
